We are missing the major issue with all the frenzied discussion over the extension of our current rates (which are therefor not “tax cuts” for anyone, whether wealthy or not). The real issue is that something must be profoundly wrong with our system when we require that anyone needs to pay half of their income in taxes so the government can operate.
